A girls weekend in London; Photo Diary

I wanted to keep today’s post a little less wordy and instead let my photos do the talking. I recently spent a weekend in London with my best friend to celebrate our birthdays and spend some well overdue time together. Here’s what we got up to…

We stayed at the Hoxton hotel in Shoreditch – an amazing hotel which totally exceeded our expectations. I would definitely stay there again and prompt anyone thinking about heading to the city to throw it into the mix.

We spent the two days eating, shopping, chatting about all of life’s issues and shooting content. ALL of my favourite things!

Our first stop was predictably for brunch; we went to Timmy Green for Aussie inspired food. I say this a lot, I know, but the food here was absolutely incredible and BEAUTIFUL. I’m someone who eats with my eyes, and god did I enjoy this dish. It was such a difficult decision, but I went for the coconut French toast with mango, raspberry’s and maple. Whilst Lana went for the infamous banana bread sandwhich with mascarpone, berries, honey and almonds. We both decided they were the best things we’d ever eaten.

Next on the agenda was a browse round the shops on Regent Street. Then back to the hotel to make ourselves more glam and presentable for an evening of cocktails at Tonight Josephine – one of the best Pornstar martinis you’ll ever have.

We had Thai food delivered to the hotel before we went out, but I was too hungry to snap a picture – for reference it was from Rosa’s Thai Cafe and they were the best noodles I’ve ever eaten.

The next day we started the morning with tea in bed and of course a little shoot whilst we got ready and packed our bags.

We obviously couldn’t have a day away without having brunch so we headed to Covent Garden, GRIND. All I’m going to say is, if you’re in London ou MUST take yourself to one of their locations. I am obsessed.

In again predictable fashion we had a little mooch around the shops. I brought Harvey some macaroons from Laudere (his fave, girlfriend points to moi!) and we headed back to the hotel to collect our bags.

Finally, before we started our journey home we grabbed one last coffee from Dominique Angel Bakery near the station and I couldn’t just walk past the outside of this place without taking a picture – this was where the cronut was created!

Overall, we had the best time eating, gossiping, shopping and shooting. I can’t wait to go book our next girls weekend.

I hope you enjoyed this style of post, let me know your thoughts.

Lots of Love

Em x
