It’s time for the first Birchbox edit of 2018, I was particularly excited for this months box as it was in collaboration with OHH DEER – one of my favourite stationers, who are also great for gifts.
This month I received five products –
– Lord & Berry ; Blusher Crayon in Camelia (FULL SIZE)
– Marcelle ; Waterproof Eyeliner in Charcoal
– Thermaliv ; Night Cream
– Oribe ; Dry Texturizing Spray
– Afterspa ; Amazing Makeup Remover
This is my favourite box design I’ve received. The pastel pink and blue tones with the art work are right up my street. I need to find a use for the box now it’s empty! I was so excited to receive the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. This is a product I’ve been lusting after for such a long time, but at £41 for a full size can I’ve always been a bit reluctant to take the plunge. I can now test it out and see if I enjoy it; so far I’ve used it a couple of times and feel that it worked really well with my hair. It gave my curls more grip and definition without being too heavy or crispy. Normally my curls will drop within a couple of hours but they stay all day with just a little bit of this spray. (I’m slowly falling in love with it and coming to terms with parting with £41).
I have to say other than the Oribe product and the Lord & Berry blush crayon I hadn’t heard of the other brands/products so I’m intrigued to give them a go. So far I’ve tested the Afterspa amazing makeup remover – it’s such a simple, faff-free way to taking off your makeup! Simply wet the cloth and start removing your makeup. I’ve been using this as a first cleanse and then going in with my normal cleanser to get my eye makeup off. It does actually work, I was slightly sceptical!
Every month along with the beauty products, you receive a voucher code to use with the brand of the month. This month I was really excited to get a 20% off code for OHH DEER; I’ll definitely be buying myself a new notebook and some other unnecessary stationary and possibly stocking up on some birthday cards. In addition they included a 50% off your first ‘PAPERGANG BOX’ – this is a similar set up to the Birchbox subscription, but for stationary lovers – I DIDN’T KNOW SUCH A THING EXISTED?! But you can be sure as hell I’m signing up! To read more about the Papergang Box CLICK HERE.
As I’ve mentioned previously; Birchbox it’s £12.95 per month and you receive 5 products some are full size and the others are deluxe sample sizes. So, if you fancy treating yourself to a Birchbox you can buy this months box alone, or sign up to a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription. For more information CLICK HERE.
