My Go To – Autumn Outfit

My fail safe – go to – Autumn outfit always consists of a variation on a chunky knit and jeans, with an addition of accessories; depending on the weather sometimes paired with a big cosy scarf and boots or a pair of mules if it’s a bit warmer.

This time I opted for a pair of leather look jeans; something I’m loving at the moment. I find them really easy to style during the day time or dress up for an evening out. This pair in particular were an absolute bargain, from Primark for £13 and they fit perfectly. I’ve linked a similar pairs I’m loving HERE.

I wore this with a cream oversized, wide neck jumper from French Connection. I picked this jumper up last winter from an outlet store – always worth a visit when seasons change in my opinion, you can find some quality basics for a great price. I personally love the McArtherGlen Designer Outlets.

My favourite thing about this jumper is the batwing effect it gives and the material is super soft and cosy but definitely breathable, great for layering in the winter! Having got a lot of wear out of this already I know it washes really well and is yet to go ‘bobbly’ as some jumpers do. (My pet hate!)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn this day I took my oversized denim jacket to throw over the top, this addition is for days when it really does get chillier, I really like the contrast between the black leather and light wash denim. I brought this jacket from Newlook a while ago, I’m very tempted to buy a denim jacket lined with faux fur/borg material – let me know if you think I should…

Another autumn staple that I rely on is my black boots; I have far too many pairs, but to me they’re all different. Here I’m wearing a black suede, mini heel black boot. These are THE comfiest boots I own. These were also from Newlook last winter so I’m desperately trying to find another pair this year. I’ve just purchased a new pair of leather boots that will feature on the blog very soon so keep your eyes peeled.

I’ve recently brought a few new Autumn pieces, let me know if you would a haul/autumn styling post.

Lots of love

Em x
