A brunch worth talking about; REDROASTER

If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I absolutely LOVE brunch – I could eat ‘brunch style’ dishes for all three of my meals, seven days a week. You can guarantee that at some point across the weekend I will end up in Brighton either trying somewhere new or revisiting a favourite brunch spot!

Recently, I’ve fallen head over heels in love with a newly refurbished restaurant in the centre of Brighton called Redroaster. It’s been around for years but has just re-launched with the dreamiest Australian inspired botanical interior and an amazing menu designed by Michelin Star holder/BBC Great British Menu Winner, Matt Gillan (who actually works in the kitchen leading the team!).

I’ve been a handful of times and plan on returning at least on a monthly basis; I won’t be satisfied until I’ve tried everything on the menu. On my first visit I opted for the ~ Herb Waffle with bacon jam, maple glazed streaky bacon, fried egg with apple ~ this was not only the most aesthetically pleasing plate of food I’ve ever been presented but also the most delicious; the combination of savoury and sweet is exactly what I like in a brunch.

I’ve also tried the ~Benedict: Organic eggs, pork shoulder, cider glaze, bacon and hazelnut dressing ~ AGAIN absolutely stunning and tasted incredible! Next time I visit the first thing I’m ordering is the ~ Sweet spiced churros, salted caramel and whipped banana ~ how amazing does that sound?

The whole dining experience at Redroaster is more than enjoyable – It’s calm, bright and relaxed atmosphere is perfect for a Sunday morning with friends; after a wander around the lanes in Brighton or before a walk along the seafront.

Let me know what your favourite brunch spot is…
